M. Roger James, LL.B. (Hons)

Partner

Local background, grammar school and Birmingham University, Ll.B. (Hons) Qualified in 1970; initially specialised in property work and crime; appeared in most Magistrates' and Crown Courts in South Wales. Appeared at European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg; mentioned in case of Phillips -v- U.K.. Now practices in residential and commercial property, crime, wills and probate, civil matters and liquor licensing.


John S. Clements, B.A. (London)

Partner

Admitted in 1973. Experience of matrimonial law, criminal law, civil claims, including debt and insolvency but now specialising principally in financial mortgages, conveyancing both residential and commercial.


David Ian George, LL.B. (Hons.)

Partner

Educated locally and attended University of Wales, Aberystwyth before attending Chester College of Law. Specialising in crime, Ian George is a duty Solicitor representing clients at the police station and the Magistrates Court.


Matthew S. Clements LL.B. (Hons.)

Partner

Matthew obtained a law degree in Southampton in 2001 and joined the practice in 2002 as a trainee. He qualified in 2005 and now specializes in residential and commercial conveyancing. He also deals with Wills and Probate matters, Lasting Powers of Attorney Appointments together with Applications to the Court of Protection.


Rhydian E. James, LL.B. (Hons.)

Partner

Born and educated in Newport. Studied at Bassaleg Comprehensive School, Cross Keys and obtained a degree in Swansea in 2002. He qualified in 2005 and currently specializes mostly in criminal advocacy, but has experiences in other areas including conveyancing, probate, personal injury and civil litigation.


Josephine Sadler, F.Inst.L.Ex

Jo has worked for the practice since 1987. She attended Newport and Cardiff Colleges to train as a legal executive. She qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2000. She specializes in residential conveyancing including sales, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.


Andrew Parry, F.Inst.L.Ex

Andrew was educated at Newbridge Grammar School and at 16 commenced work with the then Trustee Savings Bank. He joined the civil service working in local county and Crown courts and then on to Blackwood County Court, Newport County Court and various other courts in South Wales. After leaving the civil service in 1989, he worked for local legal firms qualifying as a fellow of legal executives in 1998. He has been with this firm since 2005. Andrew specializes in civil litigation which incorporates personal injury work employers' liability and public liability, contractual problems, debt recovery including bankruptcy, mortgage re-possessions and is experienced in landlord and tenant issues.


Robert Ferris, LL.B.(Hons) Lond

Robert attended Newport High School and Kings College London University. He qualified in 1972 and has wide experience of most aspects of legal work including private and commercial conveyancing, family matters, divorce, wills, probates, estates administration, powers of attorney and court of protection.
